Responsibilities
- Prepare, propose content and session outlines of recreational activities for review by Parks and Recreation Director
- Coach youth activities including games in and out of town
- Arrange for and monitor use of facilities, equipment and supplies
- Initiate and assist with the preparation of promotional materials and handouts
- Maintain discipline and safety and follow appropriate first aid measures as required
- Prepare, administer, and interpret evaluation instruments of participants learning and skill development
- Check for and report any maintenance repair needs
- Maintain appropriate records, inventories, reports, and information as required
Qualifications
- Must be at least 14 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain organized and accurate records
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of various recreational activities
- Ability to participate in various physical recreational activities
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, particularly children and their parents
